Meet our Special Guest Speaker: Dr. Mrs. Irene Stella Agyenim-Boateng
Dr Mrs Irene Stella Agyenim-Boateng (widely known as STELLA) is a C-Suite Human Resource Executive. She is a product of the University of Cape Coast where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Hon) Degree and a Diploma in Education, concurrently. She also holds a Post Graduate Certificate and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
Again, Dr Mrs Agyenim-Boateng has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration specializing in Human Resource Management from the University of Ghana Business School. She also holds a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration from the Swiss Business School. Besides these, she also has various certificates from short courses attended in Ghana and in other countries across the world.
She joined Volta River Authority as the Director of Human Resources in November 2018. She is responsible for the provision of end-to-end HR services and support for all the companies in the Group.
Stella is a past Human Resource Director of Vodafone Ghana until March 2016 and Ghana Telecom before then, where she worked for 28 years and managed a diverse workforce of about 4,200 employees, for a period of time.
She was very instrumental in the Vodafone integration journey in Ghana and also contributed significantly to the successful transformation of a State-owned company to become a commercially-viable, performance-oriented and culturally agile organisation with high Employee Engagement and Line Manager scores year after year.
Dr Mrs Stella Agyenim-Boateng also has personal awards to her credit such as the:

Under her leadership, Vodafone Ghana also won several awards including Employer of Choice, Best Organisation in Employee Relations, Top Award in Annual Wellbeing Challenge (2x in a row), Most improved Vodafone Company in Health& Safety, Gender Diversity & Inclusion Award, Property and Fleet awards.
She is a member of various Professional Bodies including the Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners, SHRM (Ghana Chapter), and Executive Women’s Network (EWN). She is a Board member of the Vodafone Ghana Foundation. For Five (5) years running, Stella was a member of the Ghana Employers’ Association delegation to the International Labour Organization (ILO) conferences in Geneva, Switzerland. She is a Mentor to many in the HR Profession, A Motivational Speaker, Career Counsellor with a special interest in Youth Development and training facilitation. She has delivered several Papers at Seminars and various programmes, locally and internationally.
